Bulk Buying Beef directly from the Ranch

We are Beef Quality Assurance certified for best practices throughout our ranch

If you have storage space and the funds to purchase upfront, buying in bulk (livestock shares of beef) can be not only cost effective but higher quality meat. Our cattle are about 60% of the size of typical commercial cattle and have less bone with more meat per hundred pounds. Basically, a more compact animal, from the side they are shorter, wider, and deeper animals. The animals are raised in our care from start to finish.

We currently have a 2 year waiting list, with butcher dates typically in the spring.  We have limited amount of bulk beef yearly and typically sell out. If you are interested we recommend ordering while we have some available.. This is so we can manage the herd and our customer list accordingly. They are non-refundable unless the animal becomes no longer available beyond our control.

In case you didn’t know it takes 18-24 months to finish these animals for consumption.

First come first serve on our limited quantities and we typically sell out.   Please reserve a spot on our waitlist to hear more updates. However 2025 beef is sold out, check back in August 2025.

What to Expect When You Order Bulk Beef.

  • 800-1000# LIVE WEIGHT "

    WHOLE BEEF

HANGING WEIGHT (CARCASS) - 450-550# approx

EDIBLE MEAT YIELD - 250-350# approx

    HALF BEEF

HANGING WEIGHT (CARCASS) - 225-275# approx

EDIBLE MEAT YIELD - 125-175# approx

  • For ½ beef = 125-175# approximately. This will take approximately a 12 cu ft upright freezer or less than a 12 cu ft chest freezer. A medium freezer is typically 12-18 sq ft. which is measured on the inside.

To calculate your current freezer, here are 3 basic steps:

    • Open the door and from the outside of the freezer, measure from the front edge of the freezer opening (not to the door) to the back wall. Use feet, not inches.

    • Measure the height and the width of your freezer’s opening.

    • Multiply the depth, height and width together to determine the cubic feet.

  • A typical whole beef will currently cost approximately $2350 to $2575, and a half beef $1175 to $1290. Butcher cost is paid directly to the butcher.
